Our story started in 1987 with a vision and a sewing machine. Guided by Abdul Raheem, who transitioned from wholesale toys to fabrics, Ajay Curtains was born. From the very first stitch, our mission was steadfast: to meet the diverse needs of our clients with quality, whether they sought simplicity or elegance. We took pride in exceeding expectations and revitalizing living spaces—a core value that still drives us today.
In 2011, our family business blossomed. While Ajay Curtains continued its specialist stitching work, we launched Zeds Designer Curtains at Empire Mall, introducing a new, elevated shopping experience. This marked our first step beyond tailoring, showcasing a creative selection of designer fabrics and a commitment to retail excellence.
We relocated Zeds Designer Curtains to Excel Mischief Mall, expanding our range to luxury curtains and furnishing fabrics, enhancing the customer experience with personalized service.
We introduced Zeds Concepts, becoming Mangalore’s first exclusive Bombay Dyeing approved retailer, setting a new standard for bedding and bath collections.

Drawing on 25 years of international luxury retail experience, Zubair and Zaheer embarked on a mission to redefine home decor excellence in Mangalore. Their vision has transformed our humble family enterprise into an unparalleled brand, dominating the local market with distinctive quality under the unified banner of Zeds.
In May 2023, we opened the doors to our new landmark home at Kottara Chowki. This three-story, 11,000-square-foot showroom with ample parking is a physical manifestation of our growth. Each floor is dedicated to a different category, offering a comfortable, personalized journey through curtains, bedding, mattresses, furniture, and home decor—all under one magnificent roof.
